Note: The battery tester keeps the results of the last test only. When you start a new test, the last results are overwritten.

Charging System Test

Once you have completed an in-vehicle test, the display alterates between the battery test results and message press "ENTER" for charging test. Press "ENTER" to proceed with the charging test.

There have 5 test results: No problem, No output, Low output, High output, Excessive ripple.

Craking Test

Cranking normal, Low voltage, Charge battery, Replace battery, No start, Cranking skipped

Note: Before starting the test, inspect the alternator drive belt. A belt that is glazed or worn, or lacks the proper tension, will prevent the engine from achieving the rpm levels needed for the test.

The Foxwell BT 705 Battery Tester is one of the best options for DIY mechanics or professionals.
